"Officer's Approval"


Another Thoroughbred Racing Season came to a close here yesterday in Vancouver. Its been an interesting season here with lots of changes at Hastings Racecourse. They have their Casino now at the Track , so lets hope the Slot Machines generate enough Cash to help the Horsemen. There is talk of adding 1 day a week (probably Fridays , my guess) to the Racing Schedule. They should also be adding to the Purses , which is always welcome . There are things that still need improving. The Concessions need fixing up and the ones that were eliminated to install the Slot Machines have not been replaced and on busy days Food Service is not very good. Hopefully they can work out the wrinkles in the off season. The last day here had a bit of everything in the weather department , we went out with some Thunder and Lightning , heavy rains , and a bit of Sun. Not great for photography , but I did get some worthwhile shots.
Once again I'll continue to post as long as I have pics , and if I run out I'll use the Trotters till next April 18.
